Activities around Anthemion, Nafplion

Take a ride on the small train from the harbour of Nafplion and it will give you a short and interesting tour of the town. Climb the 999 steps to the imposing Venetian fortress "The Palamidi" and admire the panoramic view.

Visit the well looked after Folklore museum and the Military Museum or the Karonis Ouzo Museum which is within walking distance.

A number of cafe bars are in and around the town offering a large selection of beverages and snacks. A great way to sit and relax whilst watching the world go by.

A stroll along the harbour front and the Arvanitia Walk in the evening whilst watching the sunset, try water sports, rock climbing, go carting, kite surfing or walking all of which are available in the area. Visit the Nea Kios beach which is a protected area and home to rare bird species and the sands are recommended for people with skin complaints.

Wednesdays and Saturdays see local produce markets and Nafplion also has a wide variety of unique shops for you to choose from.

Rent a car and visit some of the local sites or visit nearby Karathona and Arvanitia beach for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Argolic Gulf.
